2013年3月的一天，在美国的一位侄女给我打电话，说她和相恋多年的男友决定在美国结婚，小两口计划到拉斯维加斯注册办理婚礼。由于双方家长不便远渡重洋来美国，他们郑重地邀请我们一家参加，并由我来作为他们婚礼的法律见证人。我们一家三口欣然赴约，去为他们爱情的重要时刻做见证。

One of my nieces who lives in the US called us in March 2013. She and her fiancé would like to register and get married at Las Vegas. Since their parents were all in China and not convenient to come to the US, she invited my family to join the ceremony and particularly asked me to be the witness for their wedding. To have a wedding witness is required by the local law before a marriage certificate becomes legal.

拉斯维加斯是在美国西部沙漠地区的一个城市，是世界闻名的赌城同时也是结婚的圣地，提供（24小时）昼夜开放的市政府结婚登记。这对新人选择了在教堂里完成他们的婚礼。

Las Vegas is located at west part of the US. It is famous for its gambling business. It also provides very good marriage service. This young couple decided to get married in a local church.

在婚礼的前一天下午到达这个世界知名度假城市，晚上我们陪着这对新人去拉斯维加斯当地的政府机关领结婚证，事先他们已经在网上填好了申请信息，半个多小时就拿到了结婚证。但是结婚证上还缺几个签名，举办完结婚仪式后才会得到所有签名，注册结婚才算正式完成。

We all arrived Las Vegas one day before the marriage ceremony. We companied them to meet the county clerk to get the marriage certificate in that night. They had already registered and filled in the required information on line before that. It was a quick process. They got the certificate in about 30 minutes. However, it was not complete until a priest and a witness sign on the pager after the wedding ceremony.

第二天一早一辆加长白色的轿车来我们住的酒店里接上一对新人和我们一家三口直奔一个定好的小教堂。

A white limousine came and picked us up in the wedding day's morning. It sent us to a church which name was Chapel of The Flowers.

在小教堂里牧师主持了这对新人的结婚仪式，我们一家三口是见证人。新娘很漂亮，新郎也很英俊，涉及个人隐私大家只能脑补一下了，婚礼宣誓过程庄严神圣，在教堂屋顶有摄像头，并连接互联网，在国内的双方父母可以远程看到这个过程。

A priest took in charge of the wedding ceremony. They made the oath. We were the witness. The bride was very beautiful and the bridegroom was very handsome. For privacy reason, I would not share their pictures. The whole process was solemn and sacred. As part of the church service, they provided live on-line video so that this couple's parents could see the wedding remotely from China.

仪式过后，牧师和我在这对新人的结婚证上签了名。The priest and I signed our names on their marriage certificate after the wedding.

之后在这个教堂的院子里和城市里有标志性的地点拍了婚纱照。

After that, we took photos around the church and later in front of some landmarks at Las Vegas.

最后才坐同一部房车回酒店。晚上大家一起在电视塔的旋转餐厅庆祝婚礼仪式圆满完成，并俯瞰欣赏整个城市。总体来说那一天过得非常完美。

At the end, the same limousine sent us back to hotel. In the evening, we went to a restaurant located on top of the Las Vegas TV tower for their wedding celebration. It turns around and we could see the whole city in 360 degrees. It was a perfect day!

后来这对新人回国还办了盛大的婚礼仪式，现在已经是两个孩子的父母了。

PS: This young couple also held another wedding celebration with all their parents and friends joined in China. They are happily living together now with two lovely kids.
