据说浅草一词出自唐朝白居易的古诗《钱塘湖春行》（乱花渐欲迷人眼，浅草才能没马蹄）。不管是谁先说出来的，第一次听说在东京有座浅草寺时觉得很特别。年前休假，不想去太远的地方，刚好可以看看这座古寺。

It is said that "Asakusa" comes from the ancient poem "Spring Journey to Qiantang Lake" by Bai Juyi in the Tang Dynasty.  (“Senso” is the Chinese pronunciation, and “Asakusa” is the Japanese pronunciation. ) No matter who said it first, I felt it is very special when I first heard about Tokyo Sensoji Temple. I am having a days vacation before the new year. We don't want to travel too far. It's perfect time to visit this ancient temple.

从筑波坐轻轨半个多小时就到了，第一印象是人真多，好像一下回到了国内，还赶上了庙会。  

It took a bit over half an hour from Tsukuba by express train. The first impression was that there were so many people! It seemed that I had already returned to China and joined in one of temple fairs.

据说一年几千万人走过这扇风雷神门。

It is said that tens of millions of people pass through this "wind-and-thunder-god" gate every year.

门后是几百米长的传统商品街。我们只买了些包着豆沙的人形烧。

Behind the door, there is a traditional shopping street which is several hundred meters long. We only bought some traditional Tokyo desserts.

贺正就是祝贺新年。 “贺正”means “happy new year “.

传统商品街的尽头是悬挂着浅草的另一门楼，中间也有一大红灯笼，上书小舟町三个字。旁边是五重塔。

There are another gate tower and a five-storied pagoda at the end of the shopping street.

再向后走就是观音菩萨的正殿了。

This temple was set up mainly to worship Guanyin Bodhisattva.

正殿边上是供游人抽签的地方，花一百日元求一签，如果是好签就带回家，如果是坏签就留在寺里，由菩萨来帮助避免或削减。

Tourists can draw divination sticks at the temple. If it is great one, then you can take the stick back home. If it is a bad one, then you can leave it in the temple and temple will help you to avoid those bad things from happening. 

在大殿周围还有一些石碑和园林。也有石狮子，只是和国内的长的稍有不同，额前还留着刘海，有点儿萌。

There are some stone monuments and gardens around the main hall. There are also stone lions, but they look slightly different from ones in China. It looks cute with bangs on the forehead.

虽然已经入冬，有些树的叶子也早已经红透，但它们仍坚持着不想离去。

Some red leaves still persistently stayed with the trees.

小桥下的流水很清澈，水中游着五颜六色的锦鲤。

The stream under the small bridge was very clear, with colorful koi swimming in the water.

还有逗猴的, 不过小猴子看上去看平静，对各种挑逗不屑一顾。There was also a peaceful monkey actor. 

除了菩萨与佛祖，这里也供奉稻荷神。

In addition to Bodhisattvas and Buddhas, the god Inari is also enshrined here.

在寺外商品街两侧有很多条小巷。有些看上去就很有故事。

There are many alleys on both sides of the Commodity Street outside the temple. They looked like places with a lot of stories in the past.

晚上在Netflix 上看到有部叫《浅草小子》的电影，讲的是日本演艺圈大师北野武成名前，在浅草的一家脱衣舞兼喜剧表演剧场，与其伯乐和老师深见千三郎的一段故事。情节不复杂，但是师徒情深，非常感人，尤其是其获奖后去看望老师那段和最后的几分钟时光穿梭的长镜头。非常推荐。

In the evening we watched a movie called "Asakusa Kid" on Netflix. It was a story about Takeshi Kitano and his master many years ago before he became famous in Japan. It all happened in one of striptease and comedy theater in Asakusa. It is a beautiful and heart-touching movie although the plot was relative simple. Particularly I love the moment when Takashi went to see his master after winning a big award and the time travel type long shot at the end of the movie. Highly recommended.
