2008年利用出差的机会，游览了印度南部的迈索尔王宫。迈索尔王国（Kingdom of Mysore，1399-1947）的迈索尔王宫（Mysore Palace），又称Ambavilas Palace宫。这个王国原来是奢耶那伽罗帝国（Vijayanagara Empire，1336-1646=310年）的诸侯，在奢耶那伽罗帝国衰落之后宣布独立，最后占领了奢耶那伽罗帝国的大部分领土。与英国四次战争后，失去大部分国土，成为英属印度的一个土邦。英国人保留的这个土邦，一直维持到1947 年印度独立为止，所以迈索尔王国的历史计算为：1399-1947年。这里有印度撒拉逊人风格的拱顶、塔楼、拱门、石柱走廊。之前是木质结构，在1879年烧毁，英国马德拉斯州的建筑师哈里·伊万重新设计，于1912年完成。
I toured Mysore Palace in 2008 together with one of my best friends.
Mysore Palace is a historical palace and a royal residence at Mysore in the Indian State of Karnataka. It is the official residence of the Wadiyar dynasty and the seat of the Kingdom of Mysore. The palace is in the centre of Mysore, and faces the Chamundi Hills eastward.
