今年这届奥运会有很多特殊之处，其中之一是离几乎所有人的距离一样近，都是从沙发到电视的距离。

昨天晚上看了奥运会乒乓球混合双打决赛，心情此起彼伏。估计电视前的中国队球迷都是以高兴着急和惋惜的心情看完几局比赛的。

Tokyo Olympic 2020 is very unique in many ways. One of them is it has same distances for almost every one in the world, which is the distance between living room sofa and TV.

Last night my mood was up and down while I saw the Olympic table tennis mixed doubles final. I guess that all the other fans of Chinese team in front of the TV had the same feeling. 

赛后接受采访，刘诗雯几度落泪，很让人心疼。她说“自己还好，主要是对不起我们这个团队；整个团队，为了我们这个混双，大家都付出很多，对不起大家”。许昕感觉前2局发挥不错，后2局领先时没有释放出来（手软了？），质量下降，想打好落点，对方放手一搏打得开…, 落后时，又想咬住比分，脑海里很多战术套路没有那么清晰了，全国球迷都在观看比赛，这个结果是整个团队不能接受的。

XU Xin and LIU Shiwen lost the game to Japanese pair MIZUTANI Jun and ITO Mima. At the interview after the game, LIU and XU were depressed, they felt very sorry for Chinese Ping Pang team which paid great efforts to support them for championship. 

我个人觉得昨天的比赛很精彩，对手水平确实也很高。从刘诗雯和许昕的赛后采访可以看出他们的压力有多大。整个团队不能接受他们的失败，因为大家都付出了很多，我觉得他们输就输在压力太大上了，没有放手一搏。

Personally, I think yesterday's game was wonderful and the level of Japanese pair was high as well. From the post-match interviews, we could see how much pressure XU and Liu were under. It was already 5 years after China swept all four table tennis tournaments at the 2016. It’s also the first time China has not won gold in singles, doubles, or team table tennis since 2004. They thought that they must win the game. They could not put themselves in the battle of heights just because of the fear of defeat.

乒乓球是我们的国球，关注度自然更高些。但是中国乒协和乒乓球团队给自己的压力太大了，他们也低估了国内观众对合理输球的接纳程度。

Table tennis is our national ball, the degree of concern is naturally higher.  But the Chinese Ping-Pong Association and the table tennis team put too much pressure on themselves, and they underestimated the acceptance of reasonable losses by domestic audiences. 

今天看看大家在网上的评论，很高兴很多都是正面的。“无论结果如何你们都是中国的骄傲” “竞技体育哪有容易可言，每一场胜利都来之不易！我们有接受失败的胸怀，更有再创辉煌的底气！在14亿中国人的心里，你们是永远的第一，是我们的骄傲!””迄今为止，刘诗雯为中国拿了20个世界冠军，许昕拿了19个世界冠军，任何人都没有资格随意评判他们。””也希望国人不要给国乒和优势项目运动员那么大压力，竞技体育没有“一统天下“，更多“群雄逐鹿”。运动员每块奖牌都是自己一点点拼出来的。”

感觉最近几届奥运会，国人看比赛不再那么看重奖牌数了，除了为中国运动员着急加油鼓劲儿，大家更多欣赏比赛的精彩，了解更多国家和各国的优秀运动员。

I feel that in recent Olympic Games, Chinese people don't pay so much attention to the number of medals. In addition to being anxious and cheering for Chinese athletes, we appreciate the highlights of the competition and learn more about the outstanding athletes of more countries.

这几天中国女排连着输给了土耳其和美国，都是0-3。有球迷觉得不应该，我也觉得可惜，但对手实力确实都不错，比赛很精彩，尤其今天对美国队，每局比分都很接近，女排姑娘和郎平都尽力了。还有，昨天的中国跳水梦之队双人10米丢了金牌，中国队的陈艾森、曹缘6跳中的5跳，都是几乎完美，只有第四跳出现了一点失误，最终以微小差距负于对手英国组合。

The day before yesterday and today, the Chinese women's volleyball team lost 0-3 to Turkey and the USA team consecutively. Some of the fans felt that they shouldn't, and I also felt it a pity, but the strength of the opponents was really good. Today’s game was wonderful. The women's volleyball girls and Coach LANG Ping did their good jobs. In addition, yesterday's Chinese dream diving team lost the gold medal in the double 10 m. The Chinese team's CHEN Aisen and CAO Yuan made five of the six jumps, which were almost perfect. Only the fourth jump made a little mistake, and finally they lost to their opponent Britain duo by a small gap.

竞技比赛就是这样，有输有赢，中国队在积极备战的时候，其他参赛国家的球队也都没闲着。希望那些一输比赛，就抱怨“比赛开门黑“，”再拍点广告和电影去吧“，”一输球就慌，心态太差“，或者说”输球是为了留一手“的声音会越来越少，因为听上去挺可笑的。

Competitive competition is like this. There are wins and losses. When the Chinese team was actively preparing for the Olympics, the teams of other countries were not idle. They were all doing hard work. Hope the ridiculous complains for the game loss of Chinese team is less and less. 

今天中国射击混合团体10米气手枪和10米气步枪各拿到一块金牌，很惊喜！ 10米跳台跳水也又拿一块金牌，真棒！

奥运会的魅力不容置疑，虽然这届东京奥运有很多槽点，但不论是举办方还是各国运动员都经历了疫情的磨难，克服种种挑战才把一场场顶级比赛呈现在我们眼前。这届奥运会在传统的更高更快更强的口号后加上了更团结，希望它能把世界人民拉得更近一些。希望所有运动员和处在人生跑道不同阶段的每个人都能健康平安、发挥出自已的最大潜力，少些眼泪和自责，多些笑容和自豪，勇于竞争，享受这一过程。

Today, the Chinese shooting mixed group 10 meter air pistol and 10 meter air rifle each won a gold medal. It's a surprise! The 10m platform diving also won another gold medal. That's great! 

The charm of the Olympic Games is beyond doubt. Although there are many imperfections for this session of Olympic, the fact that it can happen is already a miracle. Japan Olympic committee and all world wide athletes had overcome many challenges under the pandemic. Each match and player deserves our support and respect. Hope just like its slogan＂Faster, Higher, Stronger - Together＂highlighted, the worldwide people can get closer because of it. Also hope all athletes and everyone, no matter where they are on their lives running track, can play with the best potential, have more laughters, prides and less tears, regrets, enjoy more the process vs results.
